A VISIT TO MEET THE RESIDENTS OF MERSING

My wife and I went to the Mersing district to visit and meet residents in the district today (18 December 2021).

Today’s programme began in Kampung Air Puteri with a visit to homes of underprivileged villagers to offer help to them. I hope the contributions given lightens their burden.

The programme then continued with a traditional dance performance and traditional games such as sumpit, congkak and dam soksek at the Mersing District Cultural Centre. It was followed by a band performance, E-Sports and a bicycle show.

I also had a get together with Mersing district youth leaders to understand their needs and challenges better. For me, it is important for leaders to go out and get closer to the rakyat.
