AN ADDRESS BY HRH THE REGENT OF JOHOR ON THE ACHIEVEMENTS OF JOHOR DARUL TA’ZIM FC (JDT)

It is always an honour and privilege for Johor Darul Ta’zim FC (JDT) to play in Asia’s elite competition. I am proud of this club fighting tooth and nail to reach greater heights.
It is unfortunate to bow out the way we did in the match last night, including some decisions.
Anyhow, I take full responsibility of the results last night. I am devoted to put Johor on the football map to compete with Asia’s best and committed to make further investments to strengthen JDT on and off the field. We have identified certain weaknesses and already have new plans since a few months ago. We are waiting for the transfer window to open before the start of the new season.
I would like to thank all the JDT fans for their remarkable support at Sultan Ibrahim Stadium. It was again the highest attendance at our Home. And to Buriram United, congratulations and all the best in the next round.
