AN ADDRESS BY HRH THE REGENT OF JOHOR REGARDING JOHOR HEAD OF HOUSEHOLDS IN EXTREME POVERTY

At the Opening of the 15th Johor State Legislative Assembly on 9 May 2024, I decreed to ensure that there is no head of household in Johor with the status of extreme poverty after 2025.

Alhamdulillah, the number of head of households in extreme poverty in Johor has reduced from 1,132 in April 2024 to 90 as of 10 July 2024.

I hope the Johor State Government will continue to work hard in identifying and helping those still in extreme poverty.
