LATEST REPORT ON THE FLOOD SITUATION IN MUAR

The weather in Muar is good today. 9 more Flood Relief Centres (PPS) are still operating while waiting for the river water level to drop to a safe level. If the condition improves, all victims will be allowed to return to their respective homes. VISITING THE SOUTHERN VOLUNTEERS OPERATIONS ROOM

I went to the Southern Volunteers Operations Room at the Johor SUKMA Secretariat at Nusajaya Centre today. The visit was in conjunction with the activation of the Southern Volunteers Post-Flood Squad, where teams of SV volunteers will be deployed to affected areas to assist flood victims in efforts to clean up their homes. Since the end of December 2021, Southern Volunteers have been mobilised to assist in post-flood operations in Selangor and Pahang. Alhamdulillah, the total number of victims in Segamat have reduced. The weather is also good today. 52 Flood Relief Centres (PPS) are still active and 12 PPS have been closed.
