His Royal Highness Tunku Ismail, the Regent of Johor received in audience the Chief Minister of Sabah, Datuk Seri Panglima Hj Hajiji Haji Noor today, 17 July 2024. Among the things discussed included exploring potential joint economic opportunities between Johor and Sabah as well as improving the development of Sabah football through a collaboration with Johor Darul Ta’zim FC (JDT). The Regent of Johor also consented for JDT to work closely with Sabah Football Association in regards to promoting the development of football at youth level and unearthing talent in remote areas....

At the Opening of the 15th Johor State Legislative Assembly on 9 May 2024, I decreed to ensure that there is no head of household in Johor with the status of extreme poverty after 2025. Alhamdulillah, the number of head of households in extreme poverty in Johor has reduced from 1,132 in April 2024 to 90 as of 10 July 2024.
