ALMARHUM SULTAN ISKANDAR ALWAYS REMEMBERED BY THE PEOPLE OF JOHOR

Almarhum Sultan Iskandar Ibni Almarhum Sultan Ismail passed away at the age of 77, on the night of January 22, 2010, after nearly three decades of ruling the state of Johor. Proclaimed as the Sultan of Johor on May 11, 1981, Almarhum Sultan Iskandar was also appointed as the 8th Yang di-Pertuan Agong in 1984. Almarhum Sultan Iskandar, the fourth Sultan of Johor in modern history, was a firm ruler who always emphasized discipline in governance.
