I am aware of the storm that happened yesterday at Tanjung Sedili. It’s sad to hear how bad the damage was in the area, where a total of 291 households were affected by this natural disaster. I have made a personal contribution for immediate distribution to all 291 families affected by this storm. I have also been informed that the Johor state government has provided a Temporary Evacuation Center for those affected and extended assistance in the form of food baskets and donations to repair the damaged houses. YAB Menteri Besar of Johor has also announced an allocation of RM4.5...

The distribution of sacrificial meat in conjunction with Hari Raya Aidiladha 1442 Hijrah celebration from HRH Major General Tunku Ismail Ibni Sultan Ibrahim, Crown Prince of Johor to the less fortunate, underprivileged and poor was carried out through Johor district offices. The distribution was done by the district officers, mukim chiefs and village heads respectively.

A Southern Volunteers programme with Johor district offices on 19-21 July 2021 helped facilitate the Covid-19 vaccination registration effort and distribute welfare and food aid to Bangsa Johor. The Bangsa Johor Vaccination Registration Programme by the Johor district offices in corporation with Southern Volunteers has recorded a total of 440,569 registrations in 30 days to increase the registration ratio to almost 90% of the adult population in Johor. Besides helping the vaccine registration for residents in rural areas, welfare aid and food have also been distributed to Bangsa Johor in all districts.

The Bangsa Johor Vaccination Registration Programme on 8-10 July 2021 that was carried out by Johor district office with help from the Southern Volunteers provided assistance for residents in rural areas to register for vaccines in an effort to meet the registration target. The Covid-19 vaccination registration effort for Bangsa Johor was continued by Johor district offices with assistance from the Southern Volunteers on 7 July 2021.
