EXCHANGE OF MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING CEREMONY BETWEEN THE JOHOR STATE GOVERNMENT AND THE MALAYSIAN COMMUNICATIONS AND MULTIMEDIA COMMISSION (MCMC)

HRH Tunku Ismail, The Regent of Johor attended the exchange of Memorandum of Understanding Ceremony between the Johor State Government and the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) at the Kenanga Hall, Johor Bahru City Council Tower today, 21 April 2025.

Through this collaboration between Johor and MCMC, various new initiatives will be implemented including the development of digital infrastructure, expansion of 5G coverage in strategic areas, expanding Internet accessibility, developing digital literacy among the people and implementing cybersecurity awareness programmes. These initiatives will also support the growth of new data centres, attract high-tech investments to Johor and ensure that the JS-SEZ area has a strong digital infrastructure and comprehensive Internet reach.
