GIVE PRIORITY TO THE ISSUE OF CHILD ABUSE

I urge the Johor State Government to prioritise the issue of child abuse and be an example in raising public awareness on this issue. The agencies involved should also implement new policies and procedures to ensure the safety of children.

I will visit the Child Interview Centre (CIC) at the Johor Contingent Police Headquarters (IPK), Johor Bahru next week. I will also contribute for the establishement of a CIC at the Muar Police Headquarters (IPD) for PDRM’s use in investigating and solving child abuse cases.
