HRH CROWN PRINCE OF JOHOR VISITED BUKIT JALIL NATIONAL STADIUM WITH JDT GROUNDSMAN AND REACHED AGREEMENT WITH STADIUM AUTHORITIES FOR NEW PITCH

HRH Major General Tunku Ismail Ibni Sultan Ibrahim, Crown Prince of Johor visited the Bukit Jalil National Stadium and discussed the sponsorship of a Zeon Zoysia type grass field for the stadium with Youth & Sports Minister YB Dato’ Seri Ahmad Faizal bin Dato’ Azumu.

HRH Tunku Ismail also offered to sponsor several equipments for maintenance of the pitch after the field is changed. Malaysia Stadium Corporation welcomed the sponsorship but requested for work to only start in January 2023 due to the stadium being fully booked with events in 2022.

Head Groundsman of Johor Darul Ta’zim FC’s Sultan Ibrahim Stadium, Nigel Taylor, who was also present, will conduct a more thorough inspection of the field before commencing work. The Bukit Jalil stadium authorities will also visit the Sultan Ibrahim Stadium to study ways to upkeep the field.
