MEETING WITH THE DEPUTY PRIME MINISTER OF SINGAPORE AND MINISTER OF FINANCE

HRH Major General Tunku Ismail Ibni Sultan Ibrahim, Crown Prince of Johor continued his official visit to Singapore by holding a meeting with the Deputy Prime Minister of Singapore and Minister of Finance, Lawrence Wong at The Treasury on 11 July 2023.

Singapore is a key strategic economic partner to Johor and has the potential for more future growth. Key discussions were focussed on a proposed Johor-Singapore special economic zone (SEZ) to be set-up in Johor and on further improving trade relations and investments between Singapore and Johor.

Also present were YB Dato’ Haji Salehuddin bin Haji Hassan, Johor State Finance Officer, YB Dato’ Haji Mohammed Ridha bin Dato’ Haji Abd. Kadir, Deputy Secretary of the Johor Government (BPEN), YB Dato’ Haji Ashari bin Haji Kasnan, Director of Johor Land and Minerals.

Others present were Catherine Wong, Director General, Southeast Asia Directorate I, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Singapore, Joshua Lo, Principal Private Secretary to the Deputy Prime Minister, Jeevan Singh, Consul General of Singapore in Johor Bahru and Ng Kuan Khai, Deputy Director, Southeast Asia Directorate I , Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Singapore.
