MONITORING THE FLOOD SITUATION IN THE TANGKAK DISTRICT

Today I continued the monitoring of the flood situation by visiting the Tangkak district. Also present were Johor State Secretary Yang Berhormat Dato’ Haji Azmi Bin Rohani and Tangkak District Officer Tuan Haji Azman bin Haji Mohamed Shah. I visited a flood relief centre (PPS) at Sekolah Agama Bandar Tangkak to get the latest updates on the flood disaster in Tangkak.

So far 31 victims from seven families have been transferred to this PPS. Basic necessities were distributed to flood victims by the Johor Military Force (JMF) with help from the Southern Volunteers.

Next, I went to the Muar district to monitor the flood situation there. I paid a visit to the Flood Operations Control Center at the Muar District Office, and was accompanied by Muar District Officer Tuan Haji Mustaffa Kamal Bin Haji Shamsudin and other agencies in Muar.

I would like to thank the government agencies, district offices and NGOs in Johor for ensuring a high level of preparation to face the floods. I always pray for the best for Johoreans and may you be blessed by Allah SWT.
