QUEEN OF MALAYSIA GRACES THE LAUNCH OF THE JOHOR GREEN DEVELOPMENT POLICY 2030

Her Majesty Queen of Malaysia, Raja Zarith Sofiah, graciously officiated the Launch Ceremony of the Johor Green Development Policy (PPHJ) 2030 today (24 November).

Accompanying Her Majesty was Her Royal Highness Che’ Puan Mahkota Khaleeda Johor.

Also present were Chief Minister of Johor, Dato’ Onn Hafiz Ghazi; Johor State Secretary, Dato’ Asman Shah Abd Rahman; and Chairman of the Johor Sustainability Centre (JSC), Dato’ Ir Hasni Mohammad.

In addition to the launch of PPHJ 2030, today’s event also witnessed the official opening of the Raja Zarith Sofiah Learning Centre and the Johor Sustainability Centre (JSC) at the Tunku Mahkota Ismail Youth Centre (TMIYC) in Johor Bahru.

In his speech, Dato’ Ir Hasni said that the PPHJ 2030 is a strategic policy formulated by the Johor government to strengthen the state’s green development agenda.

“The Raja Zarith Sofiah Learning Centre is an initiative to enhance the ‘Bangsa Johor Bahagia’ (Happy Johor Community) Programme inspired by Her Majesty Raja Permaisuri Agong, Raja Zarith Sofiah,” he said.

At the same event, Her Majesty graciously presented appointment letters to seven members of the JSC Advisory Board before witnessing the signing of three strategic collaborations to support Johor’s green development agenda.

These included the Exchange of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the Raja Zarith Sofiah Learning Centre between JSC and Saitama City Hall, as well as an MoU on Exploring Business Opportunities in the Electric Vehicle Industry in Johor between Permodalan Darul Ta’zim and Yinson Greentech.

The event concluded with the Exchange of Joint Venture Documents for Exploring Investment Opportunities in the Southern Johor Renewable Energy Corridor (SJREC) between the International Finance Corporation (World Bank), Permodalan Darul Ta’zim, and Ditrolic Energy.
