SULTAN IBRAHIM AGREED TO DISSOLVE THE JOHOR STATE ASSEMBLY (DUN)

DYMM Sultan of Johor Sultan Ibrahim Ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar agreed to sign the dissolution letter of the Johor State Assembly (DUN) to make way for the State Election (PRN).

Earlier, His Majesty Tuanku Sultan agreed to meet the Menteri Besar, Dato’ Hasni Mohammad at 5 pm at Istana Bukit Serene, Johor Bahru today (January 22).

Departing together, DYAM Major General Tunku Ismail Ibni Sultan Ibrahim, Tunku Mahkota of Johor.

At the meeting with His Majesty Tuanku Sultan, Dato ‘Hasni was also accompanied by the Johor State Secretary, Dato’ Azmi Rohani who then presented the letter of dissolution of the Johor State Assembly.

Clause 23 of the Second Part of the Johor Government Constitution 1895 that the Johor Darul Ta’zim State Assembly was dissolved on 22 January 2022.
