By Admin
This morning, I officiated the opening ceremony of the state-level Orang Muda Johor Festival (OMJ Fest) 2021 at the Tunku Mahkota Ismail Youth Center (TMIYC) Johor Bahru. Also present were Menteri Besar of Johor YAB Dato’ Haji Hasni bin Mohammad, Johor State Secretary YB Dato’ Haji Azmi bin Rohani, Health and Environment EXCO YB Tuan Vidyananthan A/L Ramanadhan, Tourism, Youth and Sports EXCO YB Datuk Onn Hafiz bin Ghazi, Investment, Cooperatives, Entrepreneurship and Human Resources EXCO YB Datuk Mohd Mohd Izhar bin Ahmad, Director of the Johor State Health Department YB Dato’ Dr. Aman bin Rabu and Johor Bahru Mayor YB Dato’ Haji Mohd. Noorazam bin Dato’ Haji Osman.
OMJ Fest 2021 is taking place from today until 26 December 2021 with more than 80 programmes and activities being held in various categories, such as Sports & Fitness, Skills & Entrepreneurship, Creative & Arts, Education & Leadership and Religion. More than 100 thousand youths are expected to benefit from OMJ Fest 2021, which could be used as a platform to unearth talents through competitions organised by state and district government departments and agencies as well as the private sector.
I also visited the Johor Covid-19 Special Task Force operations centre room at TMIYC to observe the current developments of the Covid-19 situation in Johor. Since the formation of this special Taskforce in September, Johor has managed to progressively reduce the number of positive cases. I hope that all government agencies, private sectors and volunteers will continue to work together to combat the Covid-19 pandemic.
HRH Major General Tunku Ismail Ibni Sultan Ibrahim, Crown Prince of Johor
