TMJ PRESENTS PERSONAL CONTRIBUTIONS TO 3 HOSPITALS

JOHOR BAHRU: The Crown Prince of Johor, Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim has made personal contributions to three hospitals in the state in a brief ceremony following his visit to the Specialist Clinic of Sultanah Aminah Hospital (HSA) here, today.
The contributions were presented personally by Tunku Ismail to HAS Johor Bahru, the Temenggung Seri Maharaja Tun Ibrahim Hospital, Kulai and Kota Tinggi Hospital.
The personal cheque contributions, which did not state the amount, was presented to HSA Medical Deputy Director, Dr Khadijah Abu Bakar; Temenggung Seri Maharaja Tun Ibrahim Hospital Director, Kulai, Dr S Sharath Chandran and Kota Tinggi Hospital Director, Dr Khursiah Daud.
Also present was Johor Health Director, Dr Selahuddein Abd Aziz.
Tunku Ismail visited for almost half an hour to inspect the facilities of the Specialist Clinic and the comfort of the patients seeking treatment there.
Among the locations visited were the Cardiology Clinic, the Echocardiography Test Room, the Pharmacy Section of the Specialist Clinic, the Physiotherapy Department (Member Recovery) and the Orthopedic Clinic.
During the visit, Tunku Ismail received a briefing on the operation of the specialist clinic while also taking the opportunity to mingle and take pictures with the patients and the public.
Meanwhile, Dr Selahuddein said the visit was not the first time but was done consistently.
“Tunku Ismail is very concerned about of health of the people in Johor and always comes to the hospital to look at the facilities and treatment provided to patients.
“This is not something new, in fact all the Johor Royal Family including the Sultan of Johor, Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar are concerned, especially during the previous HSA fire,” he said.
He said Tunku Ismail always wanted to know about problems faced by HSA, especially in terms of the number of patients in the wards.
“Today, Tunku Ismail has made personal contributions to three hospitals which will be used to buy equipment for the patients,” he said.
