I went to the Southern Volunteers Operations Room at the Johor SUKMA Secretariat at Nusajaya Centre today. The visit was in conjunction with the activation of the Southern Volunteers Post-Flood Squad, where teams of SV volunteers will be deployed to affected areas to assist flood victims in efforts to clean up their homes.
Since the end of December 2021, Southern Volunteers have been mobilised to assist in post-flood operations in Selangor and Pahang. Apart from the clean-up work, they have also donated basic necessities to the flood victims.

LATEST REPORT ON THE FLOOD SITUATION IN SEGAMAT
Alhamdulillah, the total number of victims in Segamat have reduced. The weather is also good today. 52 Flood Relief Centres (PPS) are still active and 12 PPS have been closed. I have also instructed the Southern Volunteers to start a post-flood mission of cleaning homes of flood victims in Johor.

VISITING DEWAN SEMAI BAKTI FELDA MAOKIL FLOOD RELIEF CENTRE IN MUAR
Today’s observation continued with a visit to Dewan Semai Bakti Felda Maokil Flood Relief Centre in Muar. 42 people from 12 families are being housed here. I hope the relief aid distributed would ease their burden. Alhamdulillah, everyone is in good condition and the situation is under control.

VISITING THE SMK KAHANG FLOOD RELIEF CENTRE (PPS) IN KLUANG
Alhamdullilah, my wife, brother and I have finished visiting the SMK Kahang Flood Relief Centre (PPS) in Kluang. So far, a total of 116 victims from 35 families are being housed here. Essential goods have been distributed to the victims. Everyone is in good condition.

LATEST REPORT ON THE FLOOD SITUATION IN MUAR
Latest report on the flood situation in Muar. The water level at Sungai Labis is decreasing. If the situation improves, the Dewan Semai Bakti Felda Maokil Flood Relief Centre (PPS) will close and the residents affected will be allowed to return to their respective homes. I will be going to Kluang and Muar tomorrow.
